OSB at L&E
Located on the Longman & Eagle grounds, the Off Site Bar (or OSB at L&E) is located on the behind and to the east of the inn proper, adjacent to and now connected with our small back patio space. The sixteen-seat, thirty-person space will function variously as a stand-alone ‘micro bar’, event space and tasting room, expanding into a fuller indoor / outdoor space as weather allows.
The OSB has its own moderately sized menu, one perfect for grabbing a quick bite while waiting for a table inside, and is also good for those times when you just need a few dozen oysters and a Negroni di Aquila. Menu items include classics from the ‘Bar Snacks’ menu including Fried Smelt, Cheese Plate, Olives, and Rillettes.
The space transforms further with the Saturday Sausage Shop at OSB, a weekly ‘pop-up’ restaurant focusing on cased meats created by L&E sous chef MATTHEW ‘SKITTLES’ SLIWINSKI. The changing weekly menus, released on Thursdays, feature two-to-three different offerings, available in house or to go. These limited items will be available every Saturday at the OSB from 11am onward, while supply lasts.
As a companion to our weekly Saturday Sausage Shop, we’re pleased to introduce a Sunday Donut Shop pop-up, in this case focusing on - you guessed it – donuts. Created by Longman & Eagle sous chef Vincent Knittel in collaboration with pastry chef Jeremy Brutzkus, the SDS & OSB opens every Sunday, rain or shine, and will featuring a changing weekly selection focusing on classics, as well as seasonal inspired varieties, while supplies last. The donuts, as well as Rare Tea Cellar and Dark Matter Coffee, are available for eating in or to go.
